Ashley Osburn

Ashley is a 200hr RYT through Yava Yoga & has a B.S. in Exercise Science from Roanoke College and is currently the Clinic Director of an outpatient orthopedic physical therapy clinic in Gainesville, VA. With a passion for anatomy and physiology, she took four courses in college, along with kinesiology and exercise physiology. These classes helped Ashley to understand how the body works and how exercise effects our mind and bodies.

Ashley has run three marathons and 15 half marathons so far (when she joined us in Sept. 2016), her favorite being the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C. Ashley is also a certified in indoor rock climbing top rope belay, and goes rock climbing as much as possible!  I am an avid book reader and love to explore libraries and used book stores to find new stories to read.  I am obsessed with Harry Potter and have ben to the Harry Potter conference and festival at Chesnut Hills College, PA. I love hiking and section hiking the Appalachian trail is on my bucket list. With her adventurous spirit, Ashley has tried many types of yoga, from traditional Ashtanga, to Acro & Aerial-Yoga, paddleboard & Vinyasa, savoring all of it! After running several marathons, she knew she needed to incorporate yoga into her life and instantly fell in love!  She believes that everyone can benefit from practicing yoga and that it is not only good for the body, but also for the mind and soul. Ashley is married and lives in Amissville with her two large fur babies: Hercules and Rogue.
